An easy way for a business to help stop human trafficking in their area. These can be found in hundreds of business all over Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Below are some examples:
All TJ Maxx stores in districts D4117 and D4121 have information in all of the stores on human trafficking,
tips to spotting it and the hotline number to call.
The Survivor Bags are filled with brand new items (clothes, hygiene products, snacks) for women when they come into the prostitution/human trafficking recovery house. The women normally only have the clothes on their back, and little else. These emergency supplies are a small way we help establish a trusting link with the former victims during their recovery program.
Your donation can sponsor a bag for a survivor.
While our center provides a meal, place to rest, and hygiene products, there are a myriad of needs that are unmet among the population of women and young adults who have been victimized. Individuals who come to our drop-in center frequently engage in risky behaviors in exchange for basic needs like food.
To create a safer environment for these women and young adults and reduce sexual exploitation, we are developing a food intervention program called Bowl of Hope. This program will aim to decrease food insecurity and exploitation to improve the health outcomes of our communities.
We are in need of:
POP OPEN Canned soup
POP OPEN Canned fruit
POP OPEN Canned vegetables
POP OPEN Canned stew
Small Cookie Packs
Water and Juices
This program will take place every Friday from 10-2 PM. Women must first complete an intake with Free2Hope before participating.
If you have questions or would like to donate items for the program, please contact us.
