Our organization encourages the participation of volunteers who support our mission. As part of our mission and goals, we hope to attain volunteers who are passionate and embody the values of Free2Hope. In order to assure that our volunteers are passionate about the work done at our center, additional training is required for each of our volunteers. Upon acceptance, we will provide the opportunity to complete CPR or BLS certification, NARCAN training, and de-escalation training. These opportunities will be provided by our Volunteer Coordinator and must be completed within 30 business days. If you agree with our mission and are willing to be trained in our procedures, we encourage you to complete this application.
Volunteers must complete a basic orientation session. Additional training may also be required. Volunteers must agree to represent Free2Hope, perform in a professional manner whenever doing so, and not to allow personal views and opinions from clouding or conflicting with Free2Hope's purpose.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to work without parental supervision, and must enjoy working with all types of people. They must show a genuine concern for the clients. Volunteers will be accepted for a position based on availability, their fit for the specific task, determined by the volunteer coordinator.
We are thankful for any amount of time individuals are able to put into the center. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but volunteering on Tuesday/Thursday is an option depending upon role. Once accepted as a volunteer, scheduling will be discussed with the Volunteer Coordinator.
This position will involve sorting clothes and organizing any donations the center receives. Great opportunity for abled body groups – high schools, businesses, etc.
Support the organization by conducting outreach with partner organizations and distribute brochures and informational packets through a wide variety of venues. This volunteer can help on the event day for set-up, guest assistance, and registration or clean up. Volunteers may also choose to be involved in event planning.
A Data Entry volunteer could assist with updating the inventory tracking log, entering information into the services rendered sheet, and may involve other administrative duties. The opportunity to assist the Site Director on research is an option as well.
The moderator would perform various duties related to day to day functions of the center. This could include providing assistance to peer support with daily activities (such as crafts and classes), help the kitchen staff when necessary, and provide the women with the resources they need (clothes, hygiene bags, etc).
